When designing my square I kept thinking about a line I heard. " design for the people" Designing this space for the people of Rotterdam. Offering different elements an experiences for people that seek a certain experience when going out. Pulling the city into the square. By pulling  out the restaurants and cafe onto the square. And creating spots for people to visit and enjoy how they seem fit. You want to sit on the terrace? walk throught a flowe garden? take a stroll? have fun? do activities? do nothing at all? just sit and have your luch? everything is possible. At all times you have something to look at . A green hill. People on their bikes riding beneath the layer of water. People passing by. Rotterdam.

Every part of my square is thought out and is placed there for a certain reason. Which you can read about in the "pattern" section.
